Please mark your calendar -- February 17 ^th and 18 ^th and plan to compete in the 78 ^th annual SCYA 2007 Midwinter Regatta. Sailing the Midwinter has been the traditional way to open the racing season in Southern california since 1928 and the event has grown to be the largest regatta in the United States. Although the weather was less than desired, the 77 ^th annual 2006 Midwinter drew 612 enteries in 56 one-design and 29 PHRF classes plus Portsmouth, predicted log and radio controlled model boat classes.
If the class of boat you wish to race in the 2007 regatta is not shown in the schedule for "Clubs/Classes" by area contact the regatta chairman, Dave Lumian, who will try to arrange for a host club and start.
